Showcase your Library at IFLA WLIC 2019
Dear Colleagues,
During the IFLA WLIC 2019 conference, there will be a dedicated area in the Conference Hall for roll-up stand banners, where each library and each library activity (HEAL-Link, for example) can showcase themselves.
This is an opportunity for Greek libraries to present their activities to the international library and librarian communities.
The roll-up stand banners should be sent to the Library of the Megaron Athens International Conference Center and should be received there by July 15, 2019.
The dimensions of the banners should be 2.00 meters (height) by 0,80 meters (width).
Below are indicative photographs from the Library Boulevard in Kuala Lumpur.
The mailing address is:
Stefania Merakou
Lillian Voudouri Music Library
Megaron Athens International Conference Center
Vasilissis Sofia Avenue and Kokkali 1
Athens 11521
The package should reference the “IFLA Conference – Library Boulevard”
Thank you,
Alexandra Papazoglou Philip Tsimboglou

Grants for Librarians to attend the IFLA WLIC 2019 Conference from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the Onassis Foundation
IFLA and the WLIC 2019 National Committee are delighted to announce additional grants to support the attendance of Greek librarians at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2019. The conference will open on 25 August 2019 and Athens will be inundated by thousands of librarians from all over the globe who will meet, discuss, exchange ideas and network at the world’s most international library conference. We want as many Greek librarians as possible to experience IFLA’s Congress in their home country. With the generous support of our lead donor, the Stavros Νiarchos Foundation and also the Onassis Foundation, additional grants covering registration at the Congress are now available. More information on eligibility and the application criteria can be found at:https://2019.ifla.org/congress-information/conference-participation-grants/. As the information required for each grant is the same, you only need to send one application. Applications containing all relevant information should be in English and submitted to grants@ifla.org by 14 June 2019. Meet colleagues from the region and the world and be part of this amazing professional experience.
