The Regional Branch of the Association of Greek Librarians in Northern Greece was present on April 4, 2019 at the Workshop that was organized by the Association of Students in the Library Science and Information Systems Department at the Technical Educational Institution in Thessaloniki. Organizers included the President of the Branch Department in Northern Greece, Eleni Semertzidou and one of the members, Charalambos Tsolakis.

The subject of the educational workshop was «The role of the librarian in the library and in society today». The speeches of the two speakers was the first time that the students had contact with the Regional Branch of Northern Greece.

The collaboration and joint activities with the Library Science Department was considered essential and the event was successful. The Regional Branch of Northern Greece wishes to thank the student community from the Library Science and Information Systems Department for the warm reception that they received.

The Branch is open to their participation in other workshops that the students and their Technical University department will organize in the future.
